PIRANICA - Ai no Boso (MV)

PIRANICA’s new MV “Ai no Boso” is a shockingly sweet departure for the usually wild, high-energy songwriting of Hidehiko Nagai, best known to international audiences as the leader of Nagoya’s new wave rock group Budo Grape.

PIRANICA — whose name is a combination of the fierce “piranha” and the maybe not-so-fierce pianica played by the duo’s vocalist Keroyon — walks the countryside pondering “runaway love” in the disarmingly mellow ballad. I’m curious to see if there’s something else lurking behind those bandanas… Keroyon is a former Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Asian champion, and Nagai has an established punk rock past, so with a crazy combination like this, anything seems possible.
