Eru Matsumoto TRIVENI

Eru Matsumoto’s album TRIVENI, created in collaboration with Chandrika Tandon and Wouter Kellerman, has been nominated for the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category at the 67th Grammy Awards.

“TRIVENI” is derived from a Sanskrit word meaning “the unicorn” or “confluence of three rivers”. This project aims to explore cultural roots, bridge different backgrounds, and offer an experience of healing through music.

Comment from Eru:
“The project was originally sparked by my scientific curiosity about whether sound and frequency could heal on a cellular level. This led to collaborations with professors in Cellular Bioengineering at UCI and a neuroscientist specializing in sleep medicine at Stanford. We are continuing this research because I believe sound will be the medicine of the future — and that musicians are all healers. I hope to be able to share some positive findings with all of you in the near future!”
