Tune in Tokyo Hemisphere

Anime-inspired art, cosplay, live music and J-Pop come together in the Little Tokyo district of Los Angeles on Saturday, October 12th, with Anime Explode 1.5 and Tune in Tokyo presents HEMISPHERE!

Anime Explode! 1.5: Samurais and Geishas, presented by Deathpop and NinjaArts, is a gallery show featuring Japanese and American artists at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center (JACCC). The event will also feature a cosplay contest and live performances from Candy Bomber, Midnight Shinigami and Lolita Dark!

The event runs from 11 AM – 8 PM, with an artist meet & greet from 4 PM – 6 PM. Admission is free. Art will be available for purchase.

Participating artists include Zekie Cho, Sasha Palacio, Kevin McBee, Paprika Mari, Pinguino Kolb, Stefanie Warner, Ogeeku, Christian Angel, Ayami Oikawa, Yume Ninja-Sovereign, Alcuin Gersh, Diego Paz, Deryke Cardenaz, Catherine Yi, Leslie Strock, Jin Mof Oh, Dave Baker, Chizorom Izeogu, Jason Moloney, zero, Alain Norte, Robert Negrete, Sabrina Deigert, and Jennifer Han.

The official afterparty will take place at HEMISPHERE presented by Tune in Tokyo at Nirvana Bar & Grill. DJs Greg Hignight, Del, Tora and Ally deliver the best in “global music for the masses” with a captivating setlist that spans the best in Asian pop and dance beats from across the world. Crafted for fans of Japanese and Korean pop, and accessible to music fans looking for something new and different, HEMISPHERE is a new kind of dance club experience.

Nirvana Bar and Grill offers a cozy, comfortable environment with dinner and drinks, conveniently located in the heart of Little Tokyo. HEMISPHERE at Nirvana runs from 9 PM – 2 AM, cover is $10, ages 21+ with ID.
