Alice in Project brings dramatic fantasy and swordplay to Hollywood Fringe Festival

Alice in Project Guardians of Wonder Hollywood Fringe

Japanese theatre troupe Alice in Project will make their Hollywood debut June 3-10 as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival.

The Tokyo-based Alice in Project — comprised of young female actresses and idols — will perform The Guardians of Wonder at the McFadden Place Theatre. The show will contain a 30 minute dramatic presentation and a 30-minute sword fighting demonstration.

In the stage play, Miko, a timid girl, finds herself lost in a different world after being noticed by Rei, a mysterious being. With the help of the righteous warriors Hana and Sora, who reside in this world, Miko’s adventure begins. Will Miko be able to return to reality?

Produced by Alice in Project, the team behind the stage adaptation of the popular video game NieR:Automata YoRHa series, this performance will showcase Japanese-subcultural style – live action and entertainment with a taste of anime, manga, and video games.
