ELLEGARDEN has released their music video for the new One Piece anime theme song “Carmine”.
The video features realistic concert scenes, brought to life with the help of about 300 fans who appeared as extras. The track is their first new release in about three years, following their sixth album The End of Yesterday (2022). It also marks the band’s first song written specifically for an anime series.
The offer to create the opening theme was extended to vocalist and guitarist Takeshi Hosomi, a longtime fan of the series, leading to the collaboration. The song was released at 11:45 p.m., immediately after the episode in which it first aired.
