DIR EN GREY set to rock fans in California for the first time in over five years

DIR EN GREY is ready to rock the US when they return on April 8 and 9 for a two night special event in Los Angeles, California. This will be their first set of shows in the US in over five and a half years. The tour headline, “TOUR25 WHO IS THIS HELL FOR?”, will feature set lists from some of their most prominent albums, [VULGAR] and [Withering to death.]. The two night concerts will showcase music from both albums and also songs from DIR EN GREY’s more recent releases. Day 1 will feature music from the album [VULGAR] and songs from [Withering to death] will be featured on Day 2.

As both albums are nearly 20 years old, this will be an exciting treat for concert goers, and fans are scrambling for tickets. Unfortunately, both concerts sold out almost immediately, so due to the extreme popularity of the shows, DIR EN GREY just announced an additional performance in Anaheim, California on April 11 at the House of Blues. Tickets are on sale now for this show, so be sure to snatch them up quickly as this concert is likely to sell out!

At this time, DIR EN GREY is not currently adding any other tour dates in the US outside of California. Kaoru commented on DIR EN GREY’s official website “Just like it happened for the European tour we went on in March, we couldn’t make the project of coming to the U.S. in 2022 as part of our 25th anniversary activities come true either. And now, with so much going on, it is quite difficult to do a proper tour, but (we thought) if it’s for a single show, then it’s doable. It will be a little bit different from the “FROM DEPRESSION TO ________” series; I think it will become a show where the songs from each of those eras mix up and blend with nowadays DIR EN GREY(‘s music)”. This historic event is certain to please DIR EN GREY fans that are lucky enough to grab tickets.
