ASTERISM’s new song “Crescendo” will be the opening theme for the TV anime Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class, I’m Actually the Strongest.
The anime premieres January 9, 2025, and will be broadcast on TOKYO MX, BS11, and ABEMA. ASTERISM will release the song worldwide on January 24. The band just completed a successful tour in November 2024, starting with a performance in Los Angeles.
Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class is serialized in Kodansha’s Magapoke and has sold over one million copies in comic book form. The original work is a popular novel that boasts 41 million PV on Shosetsu-ka Naro (Novelist’s Letter).
The fantasy series follows “appraiser” Ein, who has the weakest and most unfortunate job in the world, and can only appraise things. His fellow workers call him a “garbage picker” and treat him badly. His fate changes drastically when he met Yuri, a spirit of the “World Tree,” and Ursula, its guardian and a sage. Yuri gives him the “artificial eye of the spirit,” and Ursula gives him special training to master it. As Ein gains more and more strength, he begins a journey to fulfill Yuri’s wish to “meet the other sisters of the World Tree”. With his natural kindness and newfound courage, he overcomes various obstacles.
