KAMIJO Sanctus of the Damned Los Angeles

KAMIJO has announced his upcoming solo performance titled KAMIJO Signature U.S. Debut Show: SANCTUS OF THE DAMNED, scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2026, at The United Theater on Broadway in Los Angeles.

While KAMIJO has already successfully held solo performances in cities around the world including Los Angeles and New York, this concert marks his first U.S. performance since relocating to the United States, which he has designated as his Signature U.S. Debut Show.

The venue is well known for its historic Gothic architecture, making it a fitting stage that resonates strongly with the dramatic and ornate world KAMIJO has cultivated throughout his career.

In July 2025, KAMIJO marked the conclusion of his Japan-based career with his 30th anniversary career concert at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA before relocating to Los Angeles to prepare for his next chapter in the United States. Exactly one year after his final Japan performance, on July 18, 2026, KAMIJO will take the stage with SANCTUS OF THE DAMNED. This performance will stand as a defining milestone in KAMIJO’s career.

Along with this announcement, KAMIJO’s official international website has also launched. The site will provide the latest updates in English and offer fans the opportunity to subscribe to an email newsletter. Newsletter subscribers will later receive an exclusive access code for advance ticket sales for the U.S. debut show.

Additionally, KAMIJO has established his own U.S.-based company, CHATEAU AGENCY Hollywood Inc. He has partnered with Project Asteri, Inc., led by Kimitaka Kato, a former executive at Universal Music Japan (Universal International) who has produced numerous international artists, as he embarks on a full-scale global expansion.

ABOUT KAMIJO
Raised in a musical household with an electronic organ instructor mother and a piano teacher grandmother, KAMIJO’s early exposure to music shaped his artistic identity.

In 1999, he made his major label debut as the vocalist of LAREINE with the Sony Music single “fiançailles.” Known for emotionally resonant melodies and striking visual expression, he deepened his signature emphasis on narrative and beauty through a collaboration with Riyoko Ikeda, creator of The Rose of Versailles, who described KAMIJO as “Oscar herself,” the iconic protagonist of the series.

KAMIJO is also recognized for building immersive worlds through music and performance. His stage productions offer a cinematic experience that feels as if it has stepped out of anime or video games, blurring the line between reality and fiction. Layered storytelling, historical mystery motifs, and theatrical direction combine to create a one-of-a-kind sense of immersion.

He formed Versailles in 2007, presenting a majestic metal sound shaped by a deep devotion to classical beauty that resonated with audiences beyond Japan. The band completed world tours across more than 20 countries, building a passionate global following and achieving pioneering headline performances in regions including Peru and Colombia.

In 2013, KAMIJO launched his solo career, releasing music shaped by consistent, long-form concepts distinct from his band approach. Touring across Europe, Asia, North America, and South America, he continued to expand his audience worldwide. In 2018, he served as an ambassador for a Japan-France pop culture project and pushed his expression further through genre-crossing productions, including theatrical live performances with voice actors and collaborations such as Hatsune Miku. He later brought a long-cherished dream to life by performing with a full orchestra, expanding the scope of his musical and theatrical vision.

He released the full album OSCAR in 2022. In 2023, his solo 10th anniversary concert LOUIS XVII concluded a major narrative arc, while Versailles simultaneously returned with the revival single “VOGUE.” After returning to Europe in 2024 for the first time in six years, he completed a tour that later inspired the mini album VIOLET DAWN.

In 2025, KAMIJO celebrated 30 years of his career with a 16-date tour across Japan, followed by overseas performances in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, New York, and Los Angeles. In July, he released MASTERPIECE, a best album that encapsulated his solo career, and sold out the grand finale at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA, closing a major chapter of his Japan-based activities.

In summer 2025, KAMIJO began working out of Los Angeles, continuing to evolve his distinctive artistic language while integrating music, visuals, and performance on a global scale.
