Super Dimension Convention, in association with Anime Los Angeles, has announced special appearances by Macross voice actors Takumi Yamazaki and Tsutomu Takayama. Both will join this year’s convention for a special panel followed by a meet & greet signing opportunity.
Fans will recognize Takumi Yamazaki from the lead role of Isamu Dyson in the Macross Plus series. Credits from Mr. Yamazaki’s 30-year career as an anime and videogame voice actor also include hit titles such as Gundam the Origin, One Piece, and the Metal Gear Solid series.
Tsutomu Takayama became known to Macross fans when voicing the lead role of Hibiki Kanzaki in Super Dimensional Fortress Macross II: Lovers Again. Having lent his voice to other classic anime titles such as The Guyver and Locke the Superman, today Mr. Takayama works as a professional narrator for local Japanese television.
Super Dimension Convention will take place Saturday, October 5, at the Torrance Cultural Arts center in Torrance, CA. Other scheduled activities include the return of the “Macross Idol” cosplay and performance contest, custom model contest, live auctions and raffles, and a full dealer’s room.
